You're practucally glued to your brother. He can rarely go anywhere without you begging to let you come along or just running after him

He didn't really like the idea to taking you along for this tournament at first, but he figured you'd have lots of fun watching fighters you've never heard of before

And hell was he right. Minutes after stepping foot into the underground arena, you get super hyped and run away from your brother because you can't contain your excitement

You're gone so fast that Cosmo doesn't even notice for the first minute. He only realizes it when Adam asks where you've gone

You're kind of known for constantly running away at the Kengan matches. Everyone there knows you like to escape your brother, but at the Underground arena... he should have kept a better eye on you

While Cosmo is worrying about you, you're busy walking around and trying to talk to all the fighter you don't know

They have no idea who you are and what a little kid is doing there but. Oh well.

You ask them all sorts of questions about their arena, their fighters and whatever else your mind comes up with

You're especially impressed by Katsumi. He tells you all about his fight against Pickle and how he lost an arm

Eventually Cosmo finds you and immediately apologizes to Katsumi

Katsumi tells him it's fine because you weren't a bother at all. He gets into a conversation with your brother who ends up staying there to watch the matches, so you end up watching them with Katsumi

After that day you keep telling Cosmo all sorts of things that Katsumi had told you. And you keep asking your brother to see Katsumi again. It's pretty obvious that you've become his biggest fan

So I just go to finally watch this and I know I'm kinda late to this situation but I do have my own thoughts on this crossover.

To be honest it's 50/50 for me. Not the best but also not the worst, I do feel like it was kinds rush and semi with holes. I don't know if it's a big issue or not but I kinda don't like how it left in a cliffhanger, like in this case it feels like this was going to be a one time thing and just add to the collection of kengan and baki content. I don't think a one hour special crossover is enough for all the characters to be there. also why so many characters? Like I'm happy that they add some of my favorite but just listen to the list:

And you think that they would all get a reasonable amount of screen time, right? No Olivia gets only like two or three voices lines before getting knocked out by shibukawa and even him has small amount of voice lines.

I fell like they try to hype it up by adding multiple characters but just expecting to be happy that their favorite characters is just there like kaiou Jyaku was just there basically saying the same darn line "I wanna teach them" what's the fucking point of him being there if he ain't going to do anything else? That's the main problem I have with it. Too many characters but just sitting there like a cardboard cutout and don't get me wrong, I loved that some of my favorites were there but they were just sitting there also I don't know if it's just me or what but where the fuck was Pickle? Like his name of in the introduction and they brought him up one time but that was it, did I somehow skip him somewhere or what?

Was I fucking high during this moment? Can I get the time this happened?

I feel like it should be more like a crossover series, with one or two seasons, with it being at its own pace. It would give more time for other characters to shine and interact while getting more screen time and less leaving things on cliffhangers. Each episode would be Baki and Ouma training for the big day and the same with the other four for their fights against each other with one of the episode is about being able to go into more detail about the fight that Doppo and Saw Paing dad had, maybe even showing all of it. It would give put more time for it to world build better and not feel like a rush project.

You've been interested in all sorts of martial arts for as long as you can remember and thanks to your dad you already got to meet a lot of the Kengan fighters

After the Undergrdound Arena vs Kengan Tournament was announced, Saw Paing barely talked about anyting else

You were already a huge fan of Doppo before, so after finding out your father is going to fight in the same arena as him, you started begging Saw Paing to get you an autograph

But he was like "only an autograph???" and decided to take you along. He takes you everywhere he goes anyways and this is also another chance to let you watch fights

While Saw Paing talks to Doppo you're just standing behind your dad's legs peeking out very now and then

As soon as he gives you just a little bit of encouragement to talk to Doppo, you start yelling about things like how excited you are to meet him, that you're his biggest fan and literally anything else that crosses your silly little brain

Doppo kneels down to your height and waits for you to stop talking so he can respond, but you just keep going and going until your father's fight starts

You get to watch together with Doppo which makes you even more excited

You kind of remind him of when Katsumi was a child. Just a lot more... hyperactive. But that runs in your family so it's no surprise

The original plan was for Gaolang to keep an eye on you while your father is fighting so he's glad he's not responsible for you right now and can watch the fight in peace
